Ghost being a recurring phenomenon that many people claim to see. Scientists have gone into a deep dive of the top 3 things people could actually be experiencing that they are mistakenly calling a ghost. Sleep paralysis, hallucinations, and intention blindness are all the common scientific terms that people are possibly experiencing when spiritual encounters happen.

Sleep paralysis is a phenomenon that occurs when the body wakes up before the brain tells it to. As the body sleeps, the brain takes in and goes over the day´s information and as we wake it specifically tells the body what to do. Sometimes the brain is late to give a response which causes the body to wake up before the brain is ready and the victim is now in a state of paralysis while the brain is trying to catch up.

Hallucinations, it doesn always occur when you're sleep deprived, scientists described it as when you feel somebody call your name and nobody was there. Or when you think your phone went off and it actually didn´t. These are hallutations that humans have come to just ignore and not think much of but others have written it off and spiritual encounters.

Inattentional blindness. Inattentional blindness isn't something that most people think about, it normally occurs when a person is so focused on one thing that they miss another. This is what people think could be ghost encounters and blame it on the supernatural.

  • Have you ever experienced a ghost encounter and with wasn't any of these phenomenons?

  • Have you ever experienced one of these phenomena? What was it like?

  • Do you believe in ghosts?
