Clayton Kayira: Human Nerve cell in Rats brain

This is a clump of a nervous cell inside a rat’s brain and was said to be able to thrive in a rat’s brain growing up to six times the size from standard nerves stored in dishes. This is a very interesting study as it shows the compatibility that human nerve cells have with rats and this can stir up many questions and experiments in the future.

  • what other animals can human nerve cells thrive in and what connections of a rat's brain and a humans nerves thrive in

  • Do the host connections change in any way from animal to animal

  • What could this mean for future science
