A video-recording contact lens

Sony has been awarded a patent for contact lenses that record video. What will the future of smart lenses look like in the future, especially now that video recording is on the table? You can bet someone’s already working on a compatible pop-up ad.

This invention could be an impact to the future and capture moments around you. Like what if you want to get something on film but just don’t seem to have a device on you, this could be a great tool to have while you see it.

Others reasons why this could be a good tool to have isn’t just to capture any moment, it could work for evidence as well. Let’s just say that you were just going on with your day until all the sudden, you see a crime scene going on and when the police come by, they’ll think you’re a part of it without any proof. Instead of trying to convince them, you can show them visually without a camera. It’s also easy to hide when the lenses are recording. You can be able to do it all just like a camera, except without taking a lot of time to make it clear and unblurry. You can zoom in and out, focus, close-up, you name it. Everything that a camera would do. With this tool, the future inventions to help the world become a better place would be going to the next level. The price of this still hasn’t been figured out yet, nor when it’ll be invented for sale, but Sony has been making this idea.
