A new technology that allows us to make items be unseen. Sugar cubes are the best test subject due to it being opaque. How this works is there is a laser of some kind shining from above but that can alter the properties in the item being tested, To help with resolving this issue they use something like a projector but much more powerful. The beam being shot through the item being tested becomes invisible because the beam being projected at the item is going over the object coving it instead of just going straight through. The reason you can't usually make an item invisible by shining beam at it is because the light scatters. Through the new process you can take the light wave and shoot it through as if the item was never there.

Question:

Is there a max / min size rule for objects going through this process?

Is there a certain power the laser needs to make this discovery work?

Who could benefit from this invisibility invention?

  1. I wonder if this type of invisibility will be industry standard when the technology develops enough. How it affects living things, or sensitive instruments due to the light and radiation would also be good to study.

  2. Invisibility technology has its benefits if you plan on being in the next adventure espionage movie but it's crazy to think this kind of technology is the future in our everyday lives. I'm curious if anything can be made invisible with this technology. Do objects have to be a certain size, shape, or living or nonliving?

  3. The fact that we are on the works of creating an invisibility technology is absolutely crazy to think about! However, since the light is going above the object and almost hiding the object, the usefulness of this technology is debatable. If they are trying to get a bigger sized object to be invisible, the size of the machine would have to increase as well. Nevertheless, this is a crazy invention!
